Hi, I’m Phil Xatruch, the founder of Acusnap.
I’ve been wearing hats for as long as I can remember , and I’ve always been that guy who’s picky about the fit. Not just the style… the fit had to be perfect. Snapbacks were always my go-to because I loved the classic look but there was always one problem: I was constantly in between buttons.
If I snapped it looser, I’d get that annoying gap around the ears and the hat would feel sloppy. If I snapped it tighter, it would be too tight, giving me headaches and leaving a red line across my forehead. It felt like choosing between comfort and style and I refused to believe that was the best we could do.
I started thinking…
There has to be a better way to get the perfect fit without compromising the snapback look.
I tried everything:
- Interior elastic bands weren’t an option as the constant pressure always gave me
headaches and left a red line across my forehead. - Velcro and metal buckles just weren’t my style.
- Fitted hats never felt consistent because they’re hand sewn and never fit the exact same way twice.
That’s when the idea hit me.
The Birth of Acusnap
Acusnap was born from one simple mission: Create a snapback that fits with precision.
By adding a track + ratchet system to the world’s most iconic hat closure, I built a snapback that finally adjusts the way it should have all along with a secure, comfortable fit you can fine-tune instead of settling for “close enough.”
What started as an idea in my head turned into sketches on paper, then prototypes, and now something we’re proud to bring to the world.
